It's funny, isn't it? How the people you try to impress aren't impressed. The people you don't try to impress are impressed. Maybe we should reverse ourselves. Maybe we should change according to how we change. Makes sense, yes?

I don't know. It just seems like those people, those little (very few will get this little pun, but if you do, it means you know all too well what I'm talking about... and I love you), people, don't really care how you act. Then those bigger people seem to care more about you, even though you're not purposely throwing yourself on them; purposely giving them something to care about.

Do you get my drift? If you don't, I'm sorry. It's a good drift.

But in simpler terms, and although it's truly killed, being yourself... does, in the most oddest of ways, work.

Those stupid people you're trying to impress, you know them, right? Well, I've got something to tell you.

a) They don't matter.
b) They don't know who you are, so if they begin to dislike you, it's not you they dislike, it's just this crappy personality you're putting on for them.
c) When you show someone that you don't care, that you are who you are, they may like or dislike you, but you know it's for real. Hope for the best.
d) The best way to start a friendship is a similar dislike you both share i.e. a person who's a dick.

Simple, huh? I know, it's really not. It's funny, isn't it? How hard it is to be yourself...
